op keep in mind that a sm58 is a dynamic mic, but works great as a cheap solution for vocal recordings, it will sound better than some cheap presonus or m audio for vocals.Sharmaji wrote:sm58.

will second the 58.
Some billboard classics have used that as the main vocal mic. Granted the room and preamp will matter but given how dense EDM is, any detail you don't get won't really be missed.
