Epoch/Egyptian Avenue Appreciation Thread

Post by Sonika » Tue Sep 18, 2012 8:38 pm

I know most of the heads on this forum are already VERRRY aware of our man epochalypso, but I think it's high time he got his own appreciation thread too

FUUUUUCK his tunes are sick! That broken beat feel, roving and all over the place percussion, that huge low end, those vocal samples, all comes together to create a sick and unique style :U:

so stoked for the first release on his new label egyptian avenue!!!

and his collab with wen is out of this world, so is his vocal remake :o
collab with wen:

josh idehen vocal mix, so spaceape, absolutely amazing:

definitely a man to look out for in the next year. Epoch I salute you :Q:

no flow

kidding, tracks are too much, easily one of my (if not the) favourite producers of the last year or whenever i first heard his tunes. I genuinely expect him to be on a level with Kahn, Compa and the rest of that new class of producers with the next year and a bit, if EGPTVN goes the way i imagine it will. Big ups as standard.

for real!!! next bandalu release or something, I could easily see that. But he's doing the EGPTVN thing, so that label's going to be massive :corndance:

nah I think it's all digital unfortunately

pressing vinyl is a HUGE pain in the ass, not to mention youre taking a big risk that you're going to lose loads of cash (although I think epoch's got enough hype that he could probably not worry about that)
