-GIRL UNIT-
Soundcloud
Originally starting out DJing under the name Girl U No Its True around 2007, Girl Unit has been producing since about the age of 17. His productions finally started picking up in 2009 and put out his first ep, IRL on the Night Slugs label early in 2010. Girl Unit aims to produce physical 808-based club tracks that serve to project his love for RnB/rap music and regional US. club music styles.
During Girl Unit’s DJ sets he tries to cohesively work his way through global house sounds, dirty south instrumentals, detroit/chicago classics, raw US club tracks and local bangers from rising UK producers, as well as his own productions and Night Slugs label mates releases. The second ep featuring title track ‘Wut’ is out now on Night Slugs.
-DUBBEL DUTCH-
Soundcloud
"Austin, TX, selector Dubbel Dutch is impervious to the crutches of genres, though a student of many of them. An accomplished producer of cosmic tone poems and club anthems from the abyss, many claim his now classic Throwback 12” on Palms Out Sounds saved their lives–or at least taught them a lesson in modern retrofitting. A chemistry of pre-hispanic shaman cries, YouTube videos of American microcosms, and 90s UK rave flyers make up his aesthetic, one which is not often associated with the Lone Star State. On Hymn, his debut EP for Mixpak, which will drop on the 15th November 2011, his methods havenʼt changed, but rather have become more refined." - via Dave Quam
-NADUS-
Soundcloud
Although his unique sound sees no boundaries, New Jersey’s Nadus truly
excels at creating and producing fast-paced Juke, hard-hitting
hip-hop, and energetic Jersey Club under the umbrella of East Coast
Club music.
Nadus has come a long way since Dirty South Joe, Tim Dolla, Mike V,
and the Brick Bandits family put him on the map when he was only
fifteen years old. Now at twenty years old, Nadus’ signature sound and
masterful performances behind the decks have taken him as far as
Sydney, Australia. His original productions and remixes have been
released on labels like Ninjatune, Palms Out Sounds, Ghettophiles, and
Kingdom’s Fade To Mind Imprint. He has produced music for the Seattle
rapper, Eighty4Fly and is the official DJ and producer for the rap
group, NJ Rebels. Nadus is also the co-founder of the “Thread” party
with Exrahk, DJ Reck, and Elete of St. Joe Louis.
Ever since he’s been on the scene, Nadus has racked up a mile-long
list of supporters amongst his peers of DJs and producers, including
his mentor DJ Steel, Dave Nada, David Heartbreak, Munchi, DJ Sega,
Nick Hook, Cobra Krames, DirtyFingers, DJ Ayres, DJ Tameil, WCKids,
Luny P, Sinden, and Diplo, who even wrote a college recommendation for
him.
