Top shout EH! Probably not the quickest dish out there though but the time you put in to it will pay off!
Spanish omlettes are pretty quick, but they haven't really got that wow factor required for a lady!
this one's good for a snack!

My fast food staple is zapiekanka, Polish type of open sandwich. Basic version: halve the baguette -> top it up with fried mushrooms and onion -> grated cheese on top (or no cheese or vegan cheese for me) -> put in the oven until cheese melts and baguette becomes crispy -> top up witch ketchup -> serve with salad.magma wrote:YO VEGGIES
Gimme some tips for quick and cool meals... there's only so many times I'll get away with cooking this girl stir-fries. She's a bit too easy to tempt into lapsing towards meat, but I don't wanna roll like that nahmean... gotta keep her moral fibre in check at least SOME of the time when she's round mine.
Actually, I might Google some menus for vegan restaurants...
You can experiment with the topping, add some peppers or other veg.
It's Martin's and mine sentimental food, haha.

Butternut squash fajitas - ie all the usual stuff, but with butternut squash (roasted with cumin and smoked paprika and cayenne) instead of the meat.
Carrot miso soup: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2012/01/ ... nd-sesame/
Basic pasta and tomato sauce: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2010/01/ ... nd-onions/ with something like grilled goats cheese and basil leaves scattered around on top
Salad of beetroot (buy it pre-cooked) / walnut / green beans
Salad of sliced beetroot, sliced pickled walnut and watercress with a blob of sour cream
Roast sweet potato wedges with a lime / chilli / coriander / sour cream
All sorts of chinese and indian stuff

BIG UPS Hippy Crew! I hadn't thought of any of these yet. Totally gonna get my lasagne and zapiekanka on. And SOUPS, I hadn't even thought about soups.

Not that I particularly want to encourage marriage at this stage, but does that look about right? Looks fucking tasty anyway!

That's the one.
Well if marriage isn't to be encouraged, I'm sure you'll manage a good rogering.

Re: Thoughts on Vegetarians/vegans
I think that one of the major problems with society today is - that we take so many things for granted because STUFF is just so ubiquitous...
Exp. Chocolate used to be considered a really amazing and special thing because you didn't have access to it all the time..
same with seasonal fruits and vegtables...strawberry season was special - pumpkin pie was special etc..
and until recently - and I mean in the past 50-60 years - meat was special...It was for sundays and "special" dinners
and was eaten sparingly because it was expensive...not so with factory farming
and honestly - I believe that we don't apply the correct value to alot of things now...
Like the gas crisis - and how the automobile and rural living is actually historically unsustainable...
But with cheap gasoline and cars - people are able to live away from cities...
creating a false and unsustainable suburban existence...
...and I admit - That if everything in the world went through a correction...
I would be completely messed up - just like everyone else - In trying to adjust to the real reality...or a past reality
Because with no veggies available in the winter time - I'd have to eat meat...meat and potatos...and carrots
Whatever would keep in the root celler - whatever chicken stopped laying...
Bust out the pickled beets...

I had a great salad on Monday - greens with beets and an olive/walnut tapenande, apple - balsamic dressing...crostini w/feta - so simple and just fantastic.

I didn't do the ice cream, but this is a WINNER. Easy as pi(e), looks impressive and cheap too!PinUp wrote:I never really had energy "issues" as such I just feel much much healthier already! Re: Thoughts on Vegetarians/vegans
You want an easy pie?
Bag of chopped spinach, sufficient feta, tomato paste and puff pasrty.
Mix the spinach, feta and tomato paste at low heat trying not to cook the spinach but rather just heat to be able to coat with tomato paste.
Roll out pastry and lay the contents of the mix onto the pasrty.
Roll into a large sausage and close tightly.
Cook at 180°C until golden brown.

Just thought of this: why aren't more Christians vegetarian or vegan? 10 Commandments say "thou shalt not kill", not "thou shalt not kill humans but animals are ok"
Just a though, maybe that's completely retarded, idk.

Re: Thoughts on Vegetarians/vegans
The Abrahamic tradition (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) all state explicitly that people are not animals and, in fact, have all been given to us by god to what we wish with. Animals do not have souls in the mainstream traditions. Nature is a stage created by god for the primary actors - us - to act upon.
Not saying this is what I believe BTW.
