Hello everybody...
Been a member for a while but not been active on this forum.
Although i would say dubstep has become my music of choice for the last couple of years i was still mostly sitting around in the dnbforum.
what a bunch of wankers!!!
Most of them are arrogant pricks that have nothing better to do with their time than bitch on dubstep...
I know what im into...has to be dark and heavy or light and deep...dnb or dubstep, some electro...no brostep or jump up for me...
But i will certainly not be chatting shit about the music i don't like! and i hope that you guys are not arrogant pricks like these dnb 'purists'
So yeah im gonna try my hand in this forum, see how it goes!!
Sorry for the rant!
I am here to give and recieve feedback on my WIP's and mixes, mostly dubstep but is there any rules against posting my dnb tunes and mixes for feedback??

Been in the scene for awhile, started off by listening to my friends mix and then I got into brostep, still enjoy it, specifically Circus Records. Started off spinning digital with Torq and the Xponent and then moved onto CDJ's and started getting more into the minimal side of dubstep thanks to Anthologic (MASSIVE shout out!) and the 40hz crew here in Toronto. Now pretty much all i listen to is the minimal dubstep/dungeon and im slowly amassing a vinyl collection nd want to start spinning only vinyl.

Looking forward to hearing your tunes and thoughts.

Now it's my turn to introduce myself - I too am from Colorado. I have been writing and producing music professionally for years and my girlfriend's son introduced me to dubstep a few months back and I was hooked. I particularly like brostep (which I hear lots of people don't like). I haven't produced any dubstep yet but am really looking forward to it - I'm going to produce it in Digital Performer - I have Komplete 8 and Kore and am buying Stutter Edit, Dubstation & some sample packs to get started. I love the fact that you can make the entire track in a home studio - that's exciting, since that's what I do anyway in other genres of music, but with dubstep it doesn't need a 'bigger studio' to be valid. For me, I like artists like Skrillex because I hear such wonderful melodic threads throughout the samples and sounds he uses - he is a great producer and arranger! Anyway, hi and I am looking forward to learning a lot about producing - like sidechaining everything to the kick and snare, etc. Look forward to posting my compositions and getting your feedback!

Hello ssup People I am bogling a producer all the way from South Africa (thats right South Africa).

I started making music in highschool around 2 and a half years back. how i started hearing dubstep? then first one I think was some track by 16 bit . . I it heard on a popular radio show 5fm it was eastern jam I think and then the next was I think Ruskos mr chips .I didnt really think of it as different music just some electro. but this one time I remember very clearly, I was flipping through channels on my phone (yes I know not a very good medium to hear sub bass focused music). Then i stopped on UJ fm they were playing a mix I was like . . Holy wack *7&$%%^=WTF am I listening to this ish is siiick. what is it? I turned on my dads phones radio so i can record this ish on my cellphone( hifi was broken) the funny thing was that the reception was crap so I had to walk around wierd position holding the phone up to get signal. But ja next day i was like to my friends. . shit guys last night I heard some other type of music it was like crazy slowed down fidget with hip hop melodies electro. . .But ja I soon wen to a party where they were playing caspa and stuff and learned i twas dubstep.
Fast forwarding to the holidays I was at my friends house playing music, we spoke about music and brought up dubstep.But yeah this was the real turning point for me since that same day when he Played Digital Mystiks - Haunted. That song. I dont know how many times I played that ish throughout the holidays many many times . .then I went on to find out about DMZ skream and them.
Now the main thing I have been doing music wise is making short loops and 1 minute songs that i used to show to my friends at school. Now I want to become a great musician so naturally I have to get out that loop zone and I was in that zone this yeah. . .but I made a decision its iether i quit making music if i never finish what i start or perservere no matter how hard it gets to become successful(in my own terms). So I chose the latter option.
Oh my other reason for joining DSF is so that I can actually intereact with other people who are into the same style of music Im into. Pretty challenging in to find peeps out here who listen to broader types of dubstep . or "dub". People here are still into the crazy midrange ish only . .
Oh my other reason is to kind of take a journey towards my success . . because right now I cannot consisently finish my songs and I am not as good at translating my thoughts into music as I would like to be ..and instead of irritating my parents

everyday with my stuff i must rather do it to people in the dark rooms of clubs

. . . Or in the Felt If I get to play mystuff at OppiKoppi!(a South african music fest)Or Woodstock(a . . .music fest) but yeah Ibelieve I can do it if i stay consistent in expanding my comfort zones.

Oh and also to learn. I dont know if that was too long but ja that's Bogling. oh and I uploaded my first complete song to today
Bogling - Eons later. that was a mission and a half to get over and done with.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA. First dubstep artist I ever heard was Rusko, decided to try producing it after a few years. I've played guitar basically my whole life and I've done a wealth of pop rock gigs/sessions (most recent track I'm on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNbOb0vMTuQ).

I love all genres of EDM in different ways, mostly because of the different types of energy in each style. Ableton is my favorite DAW and I like sampling obscure television/films. Recently begun doing more cinematic pieces with video producers that want some edge to their tracks.

Any ATLiens want to collab hit me up!

Eeaasy, I'm 16 and from London, UK.

Loved Dubstep since I was about 12, with the first song I heard being Rusko - Jahova. Since then I have always been into the deep, dark side of it and the dirty, nasty field. I started producing with Cubase when I was about 13, and I now use Logic at school and Reason at home (I'm trying to save up for a mac).

That pretty much sums it up
