BIO
Having dabbled with music from an early age including playing the drums for several years, it wasnt until Mark got his first set of decks, aged 17, that he really found his musical calling. Having been brought up on a diet of hardcore and jungle from London’s pirate radio stations it was the sounds of tech step that first got him really hooked on drum and bass. Later while at university he found himself drawn into the more musical sounds of liquid and now has an appreciation for all styles of drum and bass and beyond.
Making his first tune with a couple of mates at school on an akai s900 and a ropy PC running cubase in 1999, and continuing to write music with friends while at university in Cardiff, it wasnt until 2011 when a switch to Ableton and also finally getting in the studio with another friend, Kinetic, did things really start to take off.
Mark is also a versatile DJ having played across the UK and Europe and is a regular at Carbon in Brighton and Twist in Madrid.
With “Cold Streets” gaining support from many of the scenes top players and more music inthe pipeline, the future looks promising for Mr Recoil!
