130 BPM tracks/artists

Post by Olska » Mon Oct 01, 2012 6:09 pm

:t:

I really like the sound of the 130 bpm tracks that Skream & Benga play on their show such as Plezier - Plezier's Anthem. Are there any tracks or artists that come highly recommended?

That kode9 record, too far gone/black sun I think?
Although I don't know any stream or benga 130 tracks so it might not be similar at all

If that plezier tune is a new style to you then you've got a whole plethora of garage tunes to discover, and you're in for a treat ;)

I'm not really much of an expert in this kinda stuff but I think you should like these:

Don't think anybody is making music at 130 bpm to be honest mate, if you know music theory you'd know that it's impossible to create music between 128-134 bpm, it just can't happen. Because of pentamic scales (128-134 is not a multiple of 5, so the bass is off sync (130 doesn't count)).

Sorry, that's all I know.

At no point did i state that mate. Just said that there is a lot of good 130 stuff in the house section, which isn't always house. My sig is 130 also, and that's not house.

the first 90-100 mins of our Sept Rinse FM show is exactly 130 bpm, even though some of it sounds like uk funky, house-ish, dubstep, halfstep, boogie, kwaito, grime & eski...
