Slime is proud to welcome to the label Australian producer Aaron Static. A diverse and much loved talent in his native home, he has added his melodic touch to many styles over the years across the bass music spectrum. For his debut here he delivers two crisp, beautiful productions encompassing laidback garage and liquid drum & bass.

'251' drifts in on hazy chords before unfurling into a light halfstep, building around skeletal percussion and subtle bass stabs before the melody sweeps in to carry you away into a higher state of consciousness.

'Reflections' takes the melodic template of the former track and bolts it to a rolling liquid drum & bass framework. Glittering keys and melancholy chords intertwine with soft female vocals to catapult this roller into the sonic stratosphere.

"Aaron Static delivers something a little special here on the wonderful Slime imprint. "251" gets things started with delicate, intricately woven rhythms and uplifting melodies. The intro is one glorious instrumental sweep with cooing SFX and deftly placed beats, building into a deep, hazy main part with considerable skill. "Reflections", on the other hand, ups the ante with warm, undulating bass and pattering drums in a more recognizable D&B format. This one bridges the gap between listening at home and a more dancefloor-orientated beat well. Take heed."
