First use of wobble bass?

Post by Elektronikz » Sat Oct 06, 2012 1:23 am

I wanna know what song used wobble bass first. And no Rolf Harris crap either. I mean from a DnB track or something. Or maybe even an old 2-step song.

In dubstep I think was Skream in 2006. The ability to LFO a filter has been around as long as those early Moog synths.

Well that's a lame question. Although any opportunity to link Mr. Oizo is a score.

Because pretty much when LFO's were invented people have been making wobble bass. I mean, routing it to a VCA or VCF isn't really that spectacular of a discovery is it.

Yeah and before it was even called dubstep.
In dnb since the early 90s too, but the craziest ones I remember were on Bizzy B's old label Joker around 1995/1996. There's a jump up/clownstep thread in SNH with a bunch of 90s wobbling.
