Screen Capture software
Any good free ones about? Need to record some presentations and some tutorials, and would like some recommendations. Can't be bothered trawling through a bunch of lame ones!

It's not like he dislikes Vivek or something.

Re: Screen Capture software
fraps isn't low quality, but it records as raw avi which rapes hard drive
bandicam does the same thing but encodes on the fly for smaller files size
like if you look at my youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/DeadlyHabit) all the vids with game and screencap for the most part are done with bandicam with the exception of a couple like this one which i did with fraps and had to spend loads of time encoding in virtualdub
honestly if i wanted 60 fps HD footage i'd use fraps and encode to smaller size in virtualdub overnight, but for youtube HD quality bandicam gets the job done

Camstudio's alright, but it really depends on how much space you're going to need for it.Phigure wrote:think its called camstudio? free and decent set of features
I can't remember what format it saved in.
