Luke Bemand, the man behind the monkey, is quickly becoming an MVP for New England’s local electronic underground. He’s the ultra talented bass/keys player for the beloved trio, Lespecial, alongside Rory Dolan and Jonathan Grusauskas, and has distinguished himself as a purveyor of timeless, yet psychedelic, baby-making beats. During a set he spans sexy disco to gritty hip-hop and bass-heavy glitch to smooth 4/4, all the while channeling Ferris Bueller’s moves during the infamous parade scene.

Chicago’s preeminent late-night DJ trio, Orchard Lounge, is riding a sensational summer season right into Nocturne, a nationwide Fall Tour beginning this weekend. Staunchly carrying on the vinyl tradition, this 20-city tour will mark the first time many OL fans will also hear original compositions from the collective, who debuted three tracks when they headlined the Playstation Stage at Lollapalooza. Nocturne hits a variety of rooms across the country, bringing the sophisticated Orchard Lounge aesthetic to dance music fans aching for a headier night out. The threesome begins the three-month long tour in their beloved city of Chicago, and they'll round out the year with a headlining set planned for their NYE celebration at Smartbar.
