I used to be allergic to shrimp when I was young. I would get itchy tongue and throat. I got over it though.
Glad you're better. Benadryl is usually prescribed for mild reactions. You might want to have something around just in case.
I once gave an Epipen shot. Just minimal, generalized hives, not anaphylactic shock.
