Vessel - Order Of Noise (Tri Angle)
Vessel - Order Of Noise (Tri Angle)
Album of the year so far. Pre-ordered 2x LP from Boomkat. A steep 20 quid but well worth it.

A little bit different than what I thought it'd sound like, but I'm feeling what I've heard so far
Re: Vessel - Order Of Noise (Tri Angle)
yeah, it's still got some elements of that tri angle sound, but it's deffo something else. The preview track 'Stillborn Dub' was a grower for me but I've listened to it quite a bit now and I feel it is massive. I can imagine this being the case for the rest of the album. But the couple of tracks that have 'appeared' on youtube all of a sudden sound totally awesome. This is a unique sound.
Re: Vessel - Order Of Noise (Tri Angle)
dunno about album of the year, but it's certainly up there.
Re: Vessel - Order Of Noise (Tri Angle)
yeah sure, only time will tell but you know how it is when you hear something fresh
. Superlatives galore.
Actress was still at one for me so far and this is a bit similar to that, so I think both will finish high on my list. Will see what the new Andy Stott brings though, that preview track sounded utterly massive as well.

Good read. Funny that they talk about killing vibes, but when I listen to their Radio Shows, I get pumped!spooKs wrote:Such an amazing album. My interview with them here: http://www.dummymag.com/features/2012/1 ... out-space/

Vessel -Live- (Left Bank, Tri Angle Records) @ roBOt Festival 2012 - Bologna, Italy (12.10.2012)

Yet another Tri Angle cohort way too good for his age, Sebastian Gainsborough aka Vessel is treading the fine line between the mesmerising and the confusing. Using techno and house as a jumping-off point, Vessel forges a plethora of skittering percussive elements into one controlled chaos that puts him atop the crop of Bristol based bass wranglers. Starting off with a much noticed four-track EP on the Left Bank label in 2011, he signed with the Brighton-to-Brooklyn institution for progressive electronic stylings, Tri Angle, for his full-length debut Order Of Noise.

I'm really, really feeling their "approach" - i.e. just do whatever the fuck you feel like and not try to kowtow to peoples' tastes.

Just listened to this album and it's amazing. Really reminds me off Actress in places.
