Music is the very essence of Trap Magazine. Since it's launch two years ago, Trap has grown to become the lone voice speaking for today's generation of Bass-loving ravers. So now seems the right time to take it to the club. We've taken up residence in the basement of Sticky Mike's to bring you a series of bi-monthly issue launch parties with some of the biggest DJs on the scene. In keeping with the magazine's tagline 'Every Bass Covered' expect House-Grime-Funky-DnB-140 in large doses.

Royal-T:

To talk about progressive Grime it is to talk about Royal-T. In recent years, a fresh crop of producers has taken instrumental Grime to wider credibilty and new levels of popoularity. Young Southampton resident Royal-T is at the crest of this wave, consistently turning out fresh takes on the genre, with no two tracks sounding the same. Often imbibing his productions with an overwhelming UK Garage influence, while referencing a diverse selection of genres from Rave and Jungle to Dubstep, Breakbeat and Bassline - the beauty of Royal-T's production rests in his ability to retain the frenetic energy that defines Grime. And while most other Grime producers were making 'riddims' they hoped a big MC would vocal for their mixtape Royal was making music for the clubs. It's this that has enabled his tunes to find traction across the wider 'Bass music' movement.
With an album dropping on 3rd September - 'Rinse presents...Royal-T' - and a new show on Rinse FM (Wednesday night 1am-3am) expect big big things!!

Deadman's Chest:

We'd love to tell you which Drum n Bass producer/DJ uses this as their rowdier, more bass heavy alter-ego but we can't! What we can tell you though is that he has released tunes on Critical, Shogun, Good Looking Records, V Recordings and dropped his first full length album this year. He can also boast regular radio support from Fabio, Grooverider, Mistajam, Kissy Sellout, Toddla T, Nerm & D:Code, Huw Stephens, Bailey, Flight, Crissy Criss and DJ Hype.
Expect a full on aural assault as the Deadman's Chest bursts open for the first time in Brighton - you have been warned!

We have also roped in two of B-town's finest party starters to bookend the night. Representing the Regulate crew we have Sorele kick starting the night; laying down the finest in House/Techno/Bass the way only he can. Then we have the man like Lofty upping the BPMs and treating us to some tear out Jungle business - Resonance style.
