to me, this is the reason why it is a perfect example of dubstep. people keep thinking dubstep needs those typical drums, but that makes it boring as shit, imo. to me, dubstep was the perfect answer to dance music who had gotten so formulaic and so "typical"... 90% of dnb has the exact same drum pattern, so bland and dismal. i think people like to pick this tune as an example to remind all the cookie cutter producers out there that dubstep used to be different, not just from everything else, but from itself (if that makes any sense, lol)

maybe, but it depends which element tbh, most sub elements of srebme are derivative of quickstep

1. forget skrillex, excision, etc.
2. listen to benga, skream, distance, digital mistykz, d1...
3. enjoy them and forget brostep.
