When I saw Baauer a few weeks ago, it was quite grating at times, same when I saw Scratcha, was on a seriously good system too

It's been a while since I've been to a night out that didn't need earplugs (apart from fucking Fabric last weekend, had to take out my earplugs just to hear some of the higher end for once). While it doesn't hurt if I don't wear them, having my ears ring for a few days after is kinda pointless. Pop the earplugs in and within 30-60min your ears would have re-adjusted to the lower levels. Take 'em out occasionally if you want, especially if you're going out for a smoke.

Having said that, I have the moulded ones, so might be getting better attenuation than un-moulded ones.

Also, shitty soundsystems are the worst. They just turn up the volume across the board to compensate for the shittiness and it just kills your ears.

last system i didn't need them really - was a BIT loud without them, but too quiet with them in. but the system before that they came in quite handy, but i was literally right up against the speakers half the night

sometimes i just have one earplug in the ear closest to the speakers and that sorts it out

been to nights elsewhere and never needed earplugs, even with some dodgy selections by coki one night at cable

only time i have ever been deaf after a night out is moonies, which is a £2 entry shitehole in soho that plays lady gaga rihanna etc. god that was so not worth it at all

Shit, seems like that wouldn't be too comfortable shoving those things into your ears.

they're ace. I've had similar ones (same model, different brand). You can 'feel' them but they aren't overly annoying let alone painful.

That's how std earplugs are.
The ones I have for work are exactly the same.
