US Special Forces in Vietnam used combat tomahawks to great effect: they're easier to throw accurately as a weapon and can function in other useful ways a knife cannot. The tomahawk actually has a really interesting history that I got into a while back - evolved from Norman 'bearded axes' into a trade item the French used in interactions with Native Americans in the 1600's and 1700's.ehbrums1 wrote:http://www.amazon.com/KA-BAR-Marine-Fig ... "Republicans scrambled Wednesday to respond to Republican Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock's assertion that even pregnancies caused by rape are intended by God."
"I think that even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen," Mourdock said in his Tuesday night debate against Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) and a libertarian candidate."

Texas attorney general threatens to arrest monitors observing US election. State attorney general calls international group's plan to watch for fairness at the polls 'legally irrelevant in the United States'
Wow, just wow...Florida congressman running for the Senate Connie Mack,
"The very idea that the United Nations - the world body dedicated to diminishing America's role in the world - would be allowed, if not encouraged, to install foreigners sympathetic to the likes of Castro, Chavez, Ahmadinejad, and Putin to oversee our elections is nothing short of disgusting," he told the Orlando Sentinal.
"The United Nations should be kicked off of American soil once and for all. And the American people should demand that the United Nations be stopped from 'monitoring' American elections. The only ones who should ever oversee American elections are Americans."

Todd Akin, the Republican Senate nominee from Missouri, “It seems to me, from what I understand from doctors, that’s really rare,” Mr. Akin said of pregnancies from rape. “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let’s assume that maybe that didn’t work or something: I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be of the rapist, and not attacking the child.”
