Situation is a combo of circumstances (not long distance) and other issues which imo are resolvable. So I guess I am thinkin if/when circumstances return to normal, can/shd we get back together.

I reckon (depending on how badly the relationship ended) you have to go into being friends with her for the sake of being friends before anything else can even dream of happening. I'm talking proper slow like. Had a similar situation recently where we kind of agreed that though the time wasn't right for us to be together and we had loads of personal shit to get through first we would probably end up together again at some point, and we'd always be cool at least. So we were trying to be friends while also holding another thing in our minds at the same time, torn between two situations and trying to be both. Fuck that. There's a time for one and a time for two, just don't get it twisted.

Yeah this hits a chord for me. She wld love to stay friends but says she can't promise anything more when things return to normal. So I have decided against it cos it will just F me up and also make me a disposable option to her in the long-run.

I totally get why a woman might wana stay friends to ease out of a break-up but I think it rarely helps the guy's case. At least u guys had an 'agreement' of sorts I didnt even get that.

Gona give it a couple months possibly after xmas into Jan and then see wagwan, maybe drop a txt or arrange a meet-up but yeh starting from scratch if that is the choice aint gona be easy or maybe even worth it at that stage.

There are many degrees of relationships.


I think part of being mature - and being in a mature relationship is understanding this and allowing it.

Not intimacy of course - but understanding that other people in the world are worth knowing.



and knowing that not every person you really like is going to be the one...
