A quick question.

Post by Pandope » Tue Oct 30, 2012 3:29 am

Hi, I'm DJ Pandope.
I'm 15, I have recently taken class at Dub Academy, in Austin, tx.
My problem is that I learned on turntables, and recently I've checked my budget, and I can't really afford turntables, so I have considered a controller. :c
Would It be much of a transition? I love to beat match, and such and such.
Plus, if I did buy a controller, which one would be best? (up to $800)
Thank you,
Ben :u:

Also, I have learned on the program, serato.
Should I switch to a different program to improve?

Something I can live mix, and also record and such. I haven't really learned about controllers just yet, but I plan on it.

For 800 bucks, I'd be very surprised if you can't find second hand 1210s and a mixer.

This, get a nice second hand xone32, djm400 or an ecler nuo and the technics. Save a bit and buy a serato timecode setup. Of course, you can roll with a nice controller but if you are willing to spend that much money, just search for turntables.
