who 'they' are you talking about? it's a remix Zed Bias did in 2008 (according to himself on twitter), probably in relation to the original Quentin Harris release. Don't know if he got paid to do it, but I would guess so - that is probably why he cannot release it or give it away... no crime in enjoying a good tune from a radiorip.

it's sort of a no-no to make one and hand it out though, since whether or not it's meant to be played out, it's likely there will be people who do so

Aren't you in the zomby thread discussing that giant pack of zomby tunes ripped from the radio?

well i think there's a big difference between bare bones, low bitrate rips cut straight out of the mix with djs and mcs talking over them vs higher quality edits with vocals purposely cut out and extended to the full length of a song

one is able to be played out, the other is not

nobody would have played out the radio rips of badman VIP (and these were rips of much higher quality than these zomby rips), but once the bootleg edit surfaced, it started

edit: also for what its worth, zed bias is much more deserving of such respect than a guy like zomby :6:

tells more about the people playing it, than about the people wanting to listen to a tune doesn't it? what is the difference between clipping out of a radioshow and posting to youtube, and editing vocals out, to listen to tune? (in the Swamp show here was a wheel of the tune, and then it almost got played in full after that - as you can hear the latter half is almost not edited)

but then again, I wasnt really trying to promote this, I wanted to promote my new mixtape, find it here: http://soundcloud.com/badboybimboballad ... boy-bimbo/

If someone's gonna play out a tune that has Chunky speaking in the middle of it (which it does), they're gonna play out Zomby rips, especially as some of his tunes sound pretty lo-fi anyway. There's really no difference here man!

He might be a prick but still need to keep to the same etiquette with his music.

Radio rips are a grey area though.

Hopefully in .wav format, been think about getting a dubplate cut, that refix and Subway Baby would be a good way to start

I think last year everything he gave away was in wav's.

Edit: nm it was 320's. Still not complaining tho.
