Yeah in tandem with what was mentioned earlier too. I really like the idea of regular open mixing competitions. I'm gettin vibes for a sticky w/ regular comps, or even just a sticky similar to the wips thread but a "Mix Thread"Hashkey wrote:I'd be in for a mixing comp

Re: Mixing Practice
Well many times the stems don't line up and there's more than one track per .wav file. This makes it a hassle to reconstruct the track and sometimes a part of two of the track isn't even there.fv2k wrote:OP, have you considered mixing down stems from pro remix contests? i think freq nasty still has some up on beatport for a current contest

Re: Mixing Practice
shying away from a challenge?
in the words of rob swire: "I love it when people bounce stems at different start times. It's fun listening to the demo and working out where all the parts should go."

Re: Mixing Practice
The stems from those competitions are usually already heavily effected so there's not much point.fv2k wrote:OP, have you considered mixing down stems from pro remix contests? i think freq nasty still has some up on beatport for a current contest
