quarta330 is the only person worth bothering about when it comes to 8bit

this guy integrates 8bit sounds into his stuff really well. ive been trying to use LSDJ. it aint easy lol. most of it requires programming your own sounds unless you got dat sample pack ;)

eh? i'll repost something i wrote on another thread, pete bubonic said it was "fucking great"
idontreallygiveashit wrote:Gosh, i love Q330 so much... Probably one of my top three tunes ever with the other tune with LV in the top 10

Zomby - Zomby EP on Hyperdub and One Foot Ahead of The Other, all chippy goodness (Godzilla, Aquafresh, Helter Skelter and Digital Fauna (standard!) are favourites)

Scratcha DVA on Hyperdub (Polyphonic Dreams, Madness and others)

I think some old Rusko has some chippy stuff too

Not a fan, but Unicorn Kid has a couple of derbstep tunes that might be up your street too.

Joker's heavy on the stuff too. Most "purple sound" proudcers are.

But yeah Hyperdub is great for this stuff.

Also stuff commonly called "Skweee" and/or "Wonky" is full of low bit sounds and is kind of dubsteppish (or at least "bass music").
Like this, this, this, this, this, this and this and loads more. Mmmhmm.
