Another track in the making. Any suggestions or pointers? Started it about 2 weeks ago so any feedback would be great! Thanks! :)

STRANGE MUSIC!!!!!

The track is still rough around the edges I guess. The leading synth is a bit too reverby and colorful for the darkness of the notes. The drums are alrite, but could be layered more, bigger punch to them. The bleeps are the best part of the track imo. The intro is kinda weak, add more elements to it, regress that synth and add some whirly sht and frequency shifts maybe. It also takes a while to properly kick in since the elements are constant throughout the first 50 seconds. Props though, keep it up, fellow Stranger.

Hell yeah man, Strange all day!!! Thank you very much dude i will definitely take all of that and apply it for sure! Quick question though. When layering drums do you EQ them all together or EQ separately? Ive been trying to get that big big sound for my drums for a minute. Again, I appreciate the feedback alot!!

From what I've learnt til now, It's better to do them separately make them individually sound how you want them, add filter/reverb to whatever, layer them with the un-effected different but parallel ones, then equalize them all together (not necessary if you get there amp just right). Another thing, if you're not using a proper heavy industry standard VST, your drums aren't likely to sound as beefy as you'd like. Superior Drummer by Toontrack is what I have my eye on to get next, the reviews for it are amazing. Im currently working with Battery [since I purchased komplete 8], and it's a little sub-par to tell you the truth.
