i sitll dont understand why most american sports are so "stop/start"

its actually quite annoying.

basketball almost has it right... just take away the TO's

north american sports just have more complex strategies; the stop time just allows for more accurate adjustments. in theory it should make the game more exciting, its just really gotten bad with tv timeouts.

except hockey; its a game for cavemen

i couldn't even imagine listening to a soccer game. listening to the play by play of 90 minutes of passing around a ball sounds like tons of fun

Football (soccer) has as much time spent doing absolutely fuck all as any other sport, you're just fooled into thinking something's happening because somebody's moving.

Come on, I love football, but a game that has the most common score of 1-0 isn't representative of shit happening all the time.

I fully understand why stop-start sports are stop-start. Just IMO, but American Football is the most intense sport I've watched because every single play is everyone at 100%, no jogging around, knocking it back and forth. Everyone is going for it all the time.

Yeah, that's fair enough dude, mine too, but in fact, MOST games can't be played continuously, just the way of the world.
