How did you type that word? I didn't think we were even allowed to think that name?

So a Boxcutter/Milanese revival?collige wrote:So what you're saying is that it's time for breakcore revival. Except at 140 BPM.
BEEN DONE. And it would never catch on, sadly.
Time for something new to pop up. Just give it time. People are fucking with a new trend with London based dance music every fucking week now, without giving it time to grow in a cohesive scene and actually do something with the sound. Buut something new will come. And I think half of this forum will hate it.

How old is Nandos? I know it's a colab with Coki but it's from the last couple of years and it shits on anything Skrillex has ever done. Approaching the point where it looks like it might not get a release though.

I'm not in the slightest talking about breakcore.
Editing a breakbeat doesn't just mean making a 64 bar amen edit

Yeah, think some people have ignored the point here. This is recent Benga vs Skrillex. Stuff like Star Wars, Skank, Night and 26 Basslines are stone-cold classics, but his recent tunes (don't even know the names tbh) are just... nothing to me really. He knows the market he's aiming at, and it isn't us anymore.

I wonder if Benga actually thinks what he's making now is good.
Re: Skrillex > Benga
I think he does. I think he is in a bubble.

That and you can't really compare "old" Skrillex because he doesn't have any tunes that can be classified as old, unless you want to count that emo band thing.garethom wrote:Yeah, think some people have ignored the point here. i dunno, he reminds me a lot of Fresh. Fresh would defend the past 8 years to his death... im guessing benga is just as confident.
Re: Skrillex > Benga
Yeah, but Skrillex couldn't ever made 'Night', not even on his best day.
I'll always have a soft spot for Diary of an Afro Warrior, sore spot for skrillsux.
