Hi there... I'm an italian musician, and I've started to play with synths about 8 months ago, since the first time I heard the power of DUBSTEP!
So, I've started to use Ableton Live and VST as Massive and Reaktor.
I don't pretend to be called "producer" but, if you want, check out my youtube channel here!

(P.S. Sorry... My English sucks, but i try to do it).

Could you please explain how dubstep is "technically not music". You've said this a couple times and i'm dying to hear your reasoning. Get real "technical" please.

Also, it's really not a "working class" thing anymore. But by all means pretend to be "working class" if that's what you prefer.

I bet my dick that in 10 years "dubstep" (140bpm bass music or sth. fits better for me  ) will still be alive and of course it will change, like it has the last 10 years, like every genre has. and seriously, if its just a phase, then why do i get completely flashed by a tune every few months again? there are so many great artists who have been doing what theyre doing for many years now, and most of them will go do it for (hopefully) many more years, and its growing and growing. and even if a few people will jump off at some point, the core will stay and it will be great too :W:

I'm just waiting for this tosser to reveal where he got his qualifications to judge what's 'technically' music and what's not.

Blimey - the dubstep community that I associate with is inclusive - not exclusive. I guess I'm just lucky where I live and should probably show more caution and less naivety around your kind of people in the future.

Why are you guys so hostile? Are you like this to all newcomers? Is it because I dare to have an opinion or is it because I don't hang out of people's asses? I love dubstep, it's great. But in twenty years time not a single dubstep tune from today will ever be remembered by anyone other than a few people. But for Christ's sake - that's a good thing and that's what brings us together. I've got nothing bad to say - I can just see dubstep for what it is and not going to try and pretend it's some sophisticated, meaningful or revolutionary music that somehow changes anything other than the mood in a few nightclubs. I'm not ashamed of this.

I don't understand the hostility from you guys, I don't say anything offensive and you get all twisted up about it.

Anyway, nice to meet you all.

What response did you expect?
Obviously saying its not really music is gonna rustle some jimmies.

Snob?! Are you serious? Most of my dubstep scene friends live in council houses - doubt we'd be friends if I was a snob. Please - you're the one being the derogatory and just assuming I'm a snob. Get over yourself.

I can understand why me stating that it's not really music is going to upset people so I won't pursue that conversation any further - although I guess if what I was saying was completely outlandish people would simply laugh at it instead of getting upset but I do understand it's a touchy subject so I apologise for this.

Anyway, I'll make more effort to tip-toe around people and I'll give some headway for anger coming from you people. Let's just get on and talk about dubstep from now onwards. Thanks

Welcome, dubstepkiller. Stick around, I think you might learn quite a lot.

Here is some 'not music':

I've already explained my opinion - but it's causing too much upset so I'll just stop talking about what I think.

I'm not quite sure why so many people have some kind of chip on their shoulder around here...people calling me snobby, rich etc, seriously, do I come in and start calling everyone poor? I'd get banned if I did.

They were just winding you up mate, Sonika goes to boarding school

no you didn't explain you opinion on how it's not technically music, if you did i must have missed it so please link me there.

nobody is going to get upset for talking about music (they found it funny the whole working class rebellion thing (because it is))
but this is a music forum, for discussion about music... so discuss the music?

in all seriousness tho man, get over the fucking stupid "working class" thing, it's music for god's sake. I suggest making a different account, lying low, and starting over. I wish I had done that when I first started posting.

PS I'm interested, what do you consider "dubstep" and what type of "dubstep" do you listen to?

Not sure what's worse, that this guy's acting like a complete wanker or that he doesn't realise why we think that...
