2 free hours this afternoon... just about the only downtime I've had at work for about 3 weeks now. Trawling the Internet for Thanksgiving recipes. Gotta make Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Pies tomorrow night! :h:

I'm WAY more excited about this than I should be.

OMG! You get legit thanksgiving food!
My friend Ryan made thanksgiving dinner last year, sweet potato mash that had marshmellows and orange juice in. It sounds raw but it tasted amazing and he also made Pumpin pie that was equally good.

Hes buggered off back to the USA to have it with his family this year ;(

Fixed for truth. She's already warned me that she's not going to be much help, but I love any excuse big cook up. Had to throw away a perfectly good box of fishfingers last night just so I could get a whole turkey in my tiny freezer.

Americans really go all out on the indulgences for Thanksgiving, it seems. Just read a recipe for bread pudding made with Krispy Kreme donuts! :o

Yeah I was very wary but it was amazing.
I would actually have had it as a dessert really it was beyond the sweetness of any sweet potato mash id ever had  the whoel meal was really sweet with Turkey and some kind of jelly I forget the name of.

He also got ahold various micro brewery beers and some other stange things called fried onions, which were like ready made crispy onion bits in some kind of batter/breadcrumb.

This made me happy, although not because I think I'm gonna go out and talk to bigfoot or anything now. Just... humans. Humans and our imaginations. :)
