Very, very good indeed.
Back in Titanic days you never would have guessed Di Caprio would turn out to be a good actor, and not just in pretty boy roles

He did what's eating Gilbert Grape though.
Always destined for greatness imo.

Basketball Diaries was 2 years and Gilbert Grape 4 years before Titanic! He definitely paid some dues before getting into the sappy blockbuster stuff... :W:

old film Sunday, when the evenings get dark, draw for the classics. Been on a Hitchcock one last few weeks, both comedies; To Catch a Thief (awesome, Cary Grant is the epitome of suave) and The Trouble with Harry (this was really surreal, for a 50s film). Felt quite Lynchian, specifically Twin Peaks. Funny but really bizzarro.

if this i was 1992, and i still had a crush on winnie cooper, this might have been watchable

Is that Apocolypse now from the director's point of view?
That should be great.

Anyone seen Argo? Good?
Had to download it, they wont show it here, but that outdoes necessarily mean its anti-Arab or whatever reason they have for not showing it.

It's more a documentary about the making of the film where Coppola, his wife and a couple of the actors talk about their role and and experiences. With a great deal of behind the scenes footage as well.
I just watched it and I must say that it's really good en very interested. Definitely a must watch if you've seen and like the film.

I will check it out then.
I watched all the different directors cuts, added footage , etc.
Seem to have a thing for that movie and it's vibe.

I could just see people abusing the style somehow. First thought was "great, now we're gonna have dummies wearing coon-skin hats again....". Apart from stuff like that, couldnt get into the kid actors *shrug*

I liked when every other actor was in it, but snooze fest for me with the main two kids.
