Australia was because a friend who lives in Melbourne offered to put us up for a month for free then after just give her money towards bills etc. I would get a work visa if I was going that route!
SE Asia is lookign more appealing because of the price factor, not so much Thailand but the surrounding countries and down towards Malaysia etc

I went to South America last year & loved it cant talk highly enough of it. I kept a sort of blog you can check it out if you want -

http://southamericabypedal.blogspot.co. ... date=false

Thats the very begininin. If you can get down to Patagonia do it. I met loads of people that started down there then just hitch hiked there way up 2 Chile. From there you can get pretty much anywhere in the continent via bus or plane! :4:

Def check out south amerika. I was in Peru this year. Great place with everything you need for a holiday (beach / mountains / jungle / ruins / great people). You have to know some spanish or travel with someone who can speak it tho. I have some promoter / Dj contacts there as well ;)

In the US the pacific northwest is the place to go
Siem reap Cambodia was really fun as well but you definitely need a guide if you want to get out of the touristy places
Sad place though our guide was a Khmer rouge survivor and had some crazy stories. Met a lot of people missing limbs and with crazy war stories about the killing fields and shit
Good weed and 15 dollars for a 5 star hotel a night. Food was dirt cheap too, could feed my whole family plus two for 20 dollars at a nice restaurant and have tomorrows lunch left over.

Edit: have the guides info if you want it
