I did like Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Limited. My brother and i concluded Moonrise Kingdom was like Wes Anderson "concentrate".

I enjoyed it.
The kids were such a wtf moment.
Made it that much more interesting for me.
Combination of music, setting, direction, etc. stood out to me.
My wife on the other hand didn't enjoy it and fell sleep.
It was similar to the Life Aquatic in many ways.
Loved that as well.

Watched Scarface last night,

The Raid

An insanely violent showcase for the Indonesian martial art Pencak Silat.
Stylistically similar to the Muay Boran seen in Ong-Bak and Warrior King but without Tony Jaa's reverence for life.
Brutal, brutal film. The bit where some guy gets his quadricep sliced lengthways will haunt me for weeks to come.
Plot's a bit thin but hey, it's a martial arts film
and based on that fact > 8/10

Looper. Worth it.
Also Transformers. Not worth it at all, just google Megan Fox instead.

The Great Ecstasy of Robert Carmichael
Yeah, not sure about this one. I never thought that this:
Could be used in the soundtrack to such depressing and genuinely unpleasant events. There's one scene in this film that was just totally unnecessary.

I like how everyone posts movie-posters as opposed to movie-trailers in this thread.

The Raid Redemption - Fucking badass action movie with none of that PG-13 crap, nice and brutal.

When I first saw French Connection 2 I was proper scared of the cold turkey bit. Hackman is brilliant in both films.

Chinatown : hadnt seen this before and really liked it.
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
Just saw Lincoln
Very good film, I though Daniel day Lewis was superb as was Sally Fields.
What I liked was it didn't throw this huge emphasis on his death, and really got into his personal struggles.
8.7/10
