Re: List Of Members Collaboration // Collabs Thread
What DAW do you use? -> FL Studio 10.
How long have you been producing for? Since April 2012 (don't think that my skillz are low)
What VSTs do you favour? Massive, Sylenth1, Nexus, 3x Osc
What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound? Flux Pavilion vs Gemini
Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep) Flux Pavilion
Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location) Don't care actually, but I'm from Riga, Latvia.
What is the best way of contacting you (PM/IM/email - obviously provide the email/IM address if it's the latter) skype: freestyler124 / e-mail: metallix@mail.com / facebook: facebook.com/urbanstep
Provide a link to where your music can be heard: http://soundcloud.com/urbanstep
I'm melodic bass music producer, and I'm searching producer who's good at bass/synth lead etc. designing in Massive & stuff and who works in FL Studio.
Collab track(s) will be released under big label, will have promotion and will be featured as part of my album around 2013.
Big ups.

What DAW do you use?
Ableton Live Suite
How long have you been producing for?
3 Years (I think)
What VSTs do you favour?
Synths: Massive, Alchemy, sometimes Iris
Effects: CamelPhat, CamelCrusher, Ozone5, Ohmicide, Ohmygod, Sausage Fattener, Xfer LFO tool, Xfer Dimension Expander,
What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
I've been influenced by really dark stuff lately. Lots of dungeony stuff.
Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)
Dark and minimal. Used to be big about minimal/techno, and a lot of that translated into the dubstep/dnb that I make (sometimes it doesn't though). I don't really like the type of dubstep that includes as many sounds/synths as it can.
Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location)

Here's some of my stuff, but nothing really recent. I have a lot of polished stuff that I haven't put up yet.

Re: List Of Members Collaboration // Collabs Thread
Thought I'd throw something up here just out interest. Here goes!
What DAW do you use?
Primarily FL Studio, also use a bit of Ableton. Know my way around pro tools and cubase.
How long have you been producing for?
Approx. 8 months
What VSTs do you favour?
Synths - Massive, FM8, Razor, absynth, Sytrus, Harmless, poizone, Toxic biohazard, Sylenth, Z3ta, though I can find my way around most synths. Love mah FM synthesis.
Effects - Gross Beat, Dblue Glitch, Ohmicide, Camelphat, Wow filter, maximus, newtone, slicex, stereo shaper (image line), izotope ozone. anything that sounds cool.
What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
Not Entirely sure. I try to aim somewhere in between Doctor P, Kill the Noise, Skrillex, Zomboy and Flux Pavilion. Sorta got my own sound I think though.
Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)
Those mentioned above, Deadmau5, Knife Party, Feed Me, Rusko.
Also Tonnes of metal (mostly progressive). Between the buried and me, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Periphery, Protest the hero, animals as leaders. Big fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus and Rush (Bass player lol). Appreciative of most genres of music.
Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location)
I'm in Adelaide Australia so most probably Online. Unless there's someone from Adelaide on here that wants to collab?

Uni holidays are just round the corner so I'll have plenty of time on my hands. Prefer stuff that's a little less serious, I just do this as a bit of a side project from my two bands.

Re: List Of Members Collaboration // Collabs Thread
hi guys, looking to collab (this feels like a dirty personal ad)
•What DAW do you use?
FL Studio 9XXL (Producer Edition)
•How long have you been producing for?
As a joke with highschool mates making gangsta beatz since 2008, seriously since 2010.
•What VSTs do you favour?
ABsynth, Zeta, Massive, Hydra, PoiZone v2, FM8 and i make most of my sub bass in Edison.
•What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
I like to think im generating my own sound. i draw influence from early brostep (gotta give it the recognition it deserves for introducing me to the genre) until mid frequency wank became the done thing. as soon as the sound lost its special edge and became represented by 14 year old girls in fluorescent clothing and bodypaint i started to lose interest. a friend of mine (produces under the name Subfect) introduced me to the deeper sounds. lots of Kryptic minds, Aftee, Commodo, Cymatic etc.. i have basically listened to anything deep thats of dub or non dub genre (synkro, phutureprimitive, eskmo, etc..) and everything inbetween as well. as long i dont have to hear it in k-mart while buying my undies and socks.
•Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)
Kryptic Minds
Phututreprimitive
Graphics
Author
Bluetech
Massive Attack
Snoop Dogg/Lion? (LOL)
Thievery Corporation
Bonobo
Clubroot
Badklaat
Roommate
*the list literally goes on and on and on.
•Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location)
I live in Sydney, Australia, i wanna collab either IRL (lol) or via email. email/internet would be easier for anyone using FL studio as we can share project files. otherwise id have to be recording over an imported audio clip, which is still comletely doable, just doesnt allow for the utmost of technical changes.

Re: List Of Members Collaboration // Collabs Thread
So this isn't exactly a request to collab on a new track, but a track I've kinda already started. I can never, ever, ever, ever finish tracks, and I'm at my usual 'stuck' point. Maybe people would like to work on it with me, or if you'd just like the file for yourself, let me know, as long as you show me what you've done with it, cause it'd be quite cool to hear another person's take on it. Here's the track:

I'm not exactly sure, but I was aiming to keep it quite chilled and melodic, since that's what I usually like.rockonin wrote:This track is very Trance/Dance oriented, which way do you want to take the sound design?ljk32 wrote:So this isn't exactly a request to collab on a new track, but a track I've kinda already started. -I'm using Ableton Live 8
How long have you been producing for?
-I've been producing for about 5 months
What VSTs do you favour?
-Mostly Massive, FM8, Kontakt, Sausage Fattener, CamelPhat, Lex Reverb, Pro-Q
What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
-I'm not quite sure since my style is always changing, maybe something like Figure-ish?
Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)
-Mostly everything that has to do with music, you always learn new stuff from all genre. But I'd stick to artist such as Figure, Mantis, and the Rottun Recordings.

Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location)
-Works both ways for me, but I'd doubt that someone would come to Romania for collab.
What is the best way of contacting you (PM/IM/email - obviously provide the email/IM address if it's the latter)
-Best way is to either message me on skype or soundcloud, since I'm always there.

Re: List Of Members Collaboration // Collabs Thread
What DAW do you use?
Ableton
How long have you been producing for?
A little over six months, but I've been around music (bands & such) since I was 16.
What VSTs do you favour?
Massive, Predator, SubBoomBass, Guitar Rig, Kontakt.
What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound?
I bounce around alot, so I'm not sure. Not to say that I'm super unique or anything, just don't stick to one sound.
Influences (both inside & outside of Dubstep)
Old funk bass players, Portugal. The Man, Rusko, Adventure Club, Reso.
Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? (NB - if IRL, please state location)
I'm in Houston, TX, a IRL collab would be great but I doubt it.
What is the best way of contacting you (PM/IM/email - obviously provide the email/IM address if it's the latter)
Either on here, SC, or at my email jroneal@uh.edu
