Hi,

Spinning my copy: do you guys mean "warped" = distorted sound at each 'stand aqainst war" drop? If yes, Got an unplayable one...
Is Surus planning to "do" something or do i have to start meditating on buying vinyls?
No offence, just bored... Keep up DMZ!

I think they probably went through their first batch then so you can now pre-order the repress.

that's exactly what mine was like, had to send it back for a refund. i ordered another copy from elsewhere, hope that's not the same. i spoke to the shop, they said they hadn't had any other complaints, seems like only a small handful of them are faulty

So I got my copy today and put it on. Maintain Thru Madness sounds as good as it should. Absolute beast.
Stand Against War though... Every snare hit after the first breakdown is distorted. Unplayable.

I live in Switzerland and had to wait for two weeks to get my copy, so go figure. :( :( :(

such a shame that this release in particular has to run into some of these nasty pressing issues :(

i'd imagine all releases have a similar percentage of faulty pressings but only the high profile ones get attention.

most of them probably get swapped out without any public announcement.

and i think people want to find something wrong.

it's highly unlikely that 1000 copies of a vinyl pressing sound just like the one-off dubplate that people hear on a system, in a mix, or from a youtube clip.

Intensive hype leads to intensive scrutiny, and rightly so I suppose

Shops should just switch em, no prob

yeah this along with what you said earlier

i feel like as soon as one person says "hey mines got an issue" other people misinterpret what may be minor or completely non-existent issues

and a lot of people don't have their turntables set up properly in regards to tracking force and anti-skate

i'm very particular about my setup. my decks are perfectly level, my tonearm weight is perfect, my anti-skate is perfect and i get new needles once a year. i very rarely come across a faulty record. there has to be a pretty high level of user error.

My copy arrived today. Cued up stand against war...The intro sounded nice then the first snare hit and my deck exploded into flames. Just a heap of burning plastic and aluminum. I can't believe they would send out a record like that.

How warped are we talking? Like "have to be careful while cueing" or "my turntable can barely play this"? Cause ive got a handful of warped records, but none warped enough to complain on forums about it.
