so my friend and i traded for a week. he got my APC40, i got his traktor kontrol s2. he has ableton. i don't have traktor.
i'm simply wondering how i can use this without HIS install disk + product key. but which software do i buy? i don't want it to be incompatible.
ps, this may or may not help but i downloaded the most recent kontrol s2 driver from native instruments, and it installed properly.
i have a copy of traktor scratch pro 2.0 but it doesn't seem to wanna work..
*edit, it's actually traktor pro 2, no scratch. not sure if that matters. i did a little more digging, and it looks like the two are compatible, but kontrol s2 isn't in the dropdown menu on the controller preferences. it has kontrol s4 and x1..

DId you update Traktor? When I first set it up it literally asked me whether I was using an S2, S4 or X1
