While Supatronix and Hot Cakes parties always try to take a forward-thinking approach to breakbeat bass music in 2012 (we've had the likes of RackNRuin, Warrior One and Hostage down over the last 12 months), we've decided to make our Xmas event an all-out, unashamed reunion for breaks-heads who've been supporting this scene for the past decade and more.

With that in mind we have teamed up with the infamous nuskoolbreaks.co.uk forum to put together a lineup of syncopated musical treats so obscenely fat that we're expecting queues of chubby chasers stretching all the way from JAMM to Brixton tube.

First of all, we're delighted to welcome back the Stanton Warriors, undisputed heavyweight champions of the scene and purveyors of the freshest, rowdiest sounds to this day. The duo last performed at Supatronix in April, causing an absolute roadblock and a sea of heaving speaker junkies inside the main room at JAMM going off to their inimitable brand of booming 808-fuelled badboy riddims.

Next up in the Hot Cakes room is label boss Deekline, fresh from megatours across the globe to venues from Russia to the US, Canada, Spain and beyond, a constant innovator whose current Bounce 'n' Shake album alongside Ed Solo sent shockwaves through the breakbeat and drum and bass scenes, with some of the tracks even picking up Radio One airplay from dubstep dons such as Benga.

The night also sees the return of the mighty Freestylers, currently experiencing a new lease of life thanks to their rowdy raggamuffin beats and eye for a crowdpleasing vocal. Flying in especially from Russia and the US will be breakbeat legends Lady Waks and Keith Mackenzie, each of them performing in the UK for the first time in 2012. The line up in room one's not yet complete, as DMC Champ JFB, Supatronix head honcho Jurassik and regulars Reveal and Force of Habit take you through to the early hours.

On to room two, and it keeps getting better and better.
Here we are delighted to have teamed up with the nuskoolbreaks.co.uk forum to offer another tantalising selection of legends of the past and present.

First up, breakbeat godfather Rennie Pilgrem will be performing a rare breaks classics set. Usually acclaimed for his future jungle outings, Rennie will be delving back into the iconic era when his TCR Records imprint first began to blow up (and no doubt offering up the odd future classic too). Next up, we have Fingerlickin' legends Slyde, also rocking out a rare classic set (just 'cos it's Christmas, like). Finally, Germany's Marten Horger makes a hugely rare appearance in these isles. Support comes from NSB DJs Milky Joe & Casual-Breakin', VJ Air and Shaman, with special guest sets from US breakbeat icons Proxxy and Lantern and Brighton's Jessie G.

What can we say, but WOW! Big party alert!

Love,

Supatronix and Hot Cakes xx
