Far Cry 3 thread

Post by Widowmaker » Wed Dec 05, 2012 2:07 pm

Interested to hear people's opinions on this game, I myself think its a contender for game of the year.

A very Psychological game, kinda like bioshock how you just do what you're told eg. Kill this and that

Good character development in the story so far

Try to keep spoilers to a minimum, and of anyone wants to play co-op on ps3 add me up seanr_2r2

tearing is present but it doesn't affect the gameplay at all.

I love this game so far. The voice acting is excellent, the opening scene of the single player had me on edge. It seems to be a bit of a generic story at first, but as you move on it becomes much more of a psychological journey, on top of the survival elements. It's quite challenging too. I've never played 1 or 2 but this has made me want to try them out.

It's gorgeous aswell. I got it on ps3 because I have mates who play it online and it's still very good looking, there've been a few moments where I've had to stop and admire the scenery. Sunlight effects are excellent, sunrise and sunset both look amazing. Loving the open world style aswell, they've really done it well.

It's really good, though I wish the game would stop reminding me that I'm on a quest, I just wanna explore right now.. where are wild boars??

my only gripe is that the character you play gets grossed out by skinning animals and yet is a bionic Army Ranger death machine when it comes to shooting guns accurately from day one.
