Rather see someone who can just tie together loads of music from all over the place like Theo Parrish or Gaslamp Killer rather than this "I can use my ipad to do crazy reverbs, play house at dnb speed, loops whatever" crap.

Or someone who can build energy through a set or make it have a direction through tune selection.

Tune selection above everything for me.
this is why i love oneman's sets so much

all about selection (and crazy tight blending obvs)

There are just too many different DJ styles to really pick "the best"...

Just like there are too many songs to rate...

It really is a group effort - to paint a full musical spectrum...

seen oneman plenty of times and dont think i've heard him blend 2 records for longer than 16 bars

technical ability is obviously turntablism

disco... riding a pitch is like one skill, turntablists have to do about 50 things perfectly, its literally mastering multiple techniques

techno/house whatever is at most 3

Turntablism can be more than just a scratching dick wagging contest as some people seem to perceive it.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.
