I have the full version and was doing a little A/Bing and have to say its legit. The stripped down interface makes it nice and intuitive. Totally worth picking up.

You buy CM online for under £3 it comes with all the Disk content for DL. I just got the issues with bi filter on it am gonna pass on this got to many synths.

Re: So who's tried out Synthmaster CM yet?
I've been playing about with it for the past couple of days. I think it's really decent tbh I got some really gnarly mid rangey stuff quickly from it and the online patch library has a large range of different stuff from keys to pads to leads (the standard stuff really) so it's got great capabilities for many types of synthesis. The waveforms are really decent with a large selection of different types from the basic single cycle waveforms to more complex ones including FM and additive e.t.c.
You load the waves into one of 8 slots in each wavetable, one wavetable equating to an oscillator with two oscillators to choose from. From there you can scan across the wavetable or modulate it with an multi seg envelope, a choice of ADSRs or an LFO or any number of CC inputs. So basically it's heavily based around wavetable scanning without the ability to create custom waveshapes (i.e. Zebra/Rhino). I should also metnion you can set the size of the wavetable, so you can scan between 2 or 3 or anything up to 8 (i think it's 8...)
Each osc also has a modulator you can set to either FM/PM or ring mod either one of the two oscs. There is a semi modular routing panel where you can select which osc/modulator appears in the routing (similar to Massives routing capabilities). There's a wave-shaping distortion section you can set pre or post filter. The filter is pretty limited with only high/low and band pass/reject. The routing matrix is very easily assignable, you just right click any applicable parameter in the synth and choose what you want it to be modulated by via a context menu and it updates the mod matrix accordingly.
It's a great little synth, I've had a lot of fun messing with it. I'm sure it's capable of many great sounds and the quality of the engine is lovely too. Not quite as clean as stuff like the U-he analogue'esque engine, lushness, it certainly feels more digital than something that's more analogue modeled but not overtly so.

p.s. forgot to mention the built in effects: Chorus, reverb, delay and unison... You can also set each osc's voicing to 2,4,8 with a dedicated detune parameter per osc. Polyphony, Mono legato w/ time adjustable portamento. A huge amount of interesting modulation destinations like per wave phase/tune and all sorts of other stuff. Everything you need really. As stated it's a great little synth. I can tell it's going to quickly become one of my 'go to' synths. It's so intuitive and has a rapid workflow.

Re: So who's tried out Synthmaster CM yet?
shame on me for not replying but iv bought the issue with the very last bit of my money
thanx for the offer though!
been playing with the synth, only been doing growls and leads, very impressive (beats using massive IMO + so does Dune CM since its awesome)
i love everything about this synth apart from that you cant reset the phase of the modulator waveform (like massive's reset via gate) it only lets you do this with the normal oscillators in Synthmaster CM.. in other words each key press sounds different when using PM.
just want to ask is anyone else having problems with the "wave index"??
its stuck and doesnt move so i cant wavescan properly
if i automate the wave index i can only get it to modulate to the second wave and not the other waves, even if i select 8 waves.
im using 32 bit version & its the updated version that KV331 put up last night, seems like theres still a lot of bugs.

Re: So who's tried out Synthmaster CM yet?
lol figured out how to get the wave index to kinda work.. i can modulate it in the synth or automate it via midi which is annoying to do for every instance tbh
i cant actually move it manually..
is it only me with this problem?
