Need a little help!

Post by DDGarcia » Sun Dec 09, 2012 11:51 pm

Hello guys, sorry to post on this area, but i didn't know where to post this.
I need a little help regarding midi controllers,
Im a beginner on this area of sound production, so a easy to use controller would fit my needs.
Im looking for controller with a considerable amount of knobs, 8 or more would fit ( I only can find with 4 or 6) . Easy to transport, some pads, I was thinking also about faders, but since you can map a fader to a knob(right?) , we can skip that.

I saw some of local stores, but didn't found a good one.
Hope you guys can help me!

Thanks for your attention :P

You seem like a cute kid.

I use the oxygen 25. 8 knobs, mod, pitch bend, fader.
pretty cheap too, sturdy, fits in a backpack.
There's always amazon.

Yeah oxygen 25 is good but I already have a piano, so the keys there are useless for me , I was thinking something like Akai - MPD 32 , the thing is that it has a lot of faders, I don't have picked one, so I can't see the size, if its too big or small. And I saw too that the paddles are too hard.
If I don't find one better that fits me, I might go for it.

Just wanted to see if I could get some suggestions here :P

@OP

Grab this M Audio, these are pretty sweet. I got mine from a guy on Craigslist for $75US. It has pads, knobs and also keys, pitch faders too. Even though you have a full size piano, the 25key is pretty awesome for ease of use, and you wouldnt have to lug around your piano.
