Nice find! May be one of the better reese tutorials out there.

Thanks for this, Kontakt is something I've been using lately to help with basses, the way he makes the reese phase is a great idea!

The Kontakt trick is good but imo, some folks should learn from his few minutes in Massive.
Nothing overly complicated.
The beat production he does is also good for an understanding of basic percussion synthesis as well as not getting stuck in the technicalities of producing music.

Been posting this a fair bit in the reese/growl threads. A lot of people seem to overly complicate their synth patches to get things modulating all over the place, trying to fill up the whole frequency spectrum with just one patch. When in actual fact, making a nice simple sound and applying the right post-processing and layering can sound infinitely better.

The phasing in kontakt is a hell of a lot easier than the makeshift way I've been doing it with ESX24, I'm just not the biggest fan of kontakt. Quite liked the massive patch, especially the LFO on the Pitch. I've been wondering how to get that quicker LFO speed at higher octaves thing going on, definitely going to mess with this

^^^ Yes, that was what I learned: That if the vibrato is set fast enough, it will self-oscillate.
