Friday the 21st of December marks the end of the 13th b'ak'tun of the ancient Mayan Calendar. This apparently spells doom for us all and is obviously 100% true, because if you can't trust a man in a loincloth who's been dead for 2000 years then who can you trust?
Well, ever since the dawn of time, man/woman has made many a future based prediction. Here are just a few of the classics.....
“The Millennium Bug will cause a chain reaction causing untold devastation. Planes WILL fall from the sky! Immigrants WILL eat swans! Lettuce WILL give you cancer!” - Daily Mail

END OF THE WORLD 1984, 1999, 2000 etc – “As predicted by many a fat man with a beard”
BRITISH SUMMER - “As predicted by everyone ever (it's not gonna happen...)”
So with an obvious pattern emerging we would like to join us and “party like it's 1999” as we celebrate the latest world threatening date. Let us mock the ancient Mayans and everything their time system stands for... and if they were right, you can have your fiver back

The McMash Clan are not actually purveyors of finely crushed Scottish potato, but are an unreal 3 man production / dj team fast building a reputation for annihilating clubs with their 4-deck live show and heavy-as-fook productions.
The Clan's live show sees them hook up Traktor and NI Maschine for a peak time 4-deck assault; cutting, scratching, re-editing and triple dropping their way through a multi-layered mash-up of rave-bass lunacy. Either that, or they're all a bunch of wizards who play music via the power of their collective mind.....
The strength of their live performances has already seen them smash big stage festival slots at Glastonbury (Arcadia spider), Secret Garden Party and Boomtown Fair.

We’ve been keeping an eye on the trio for some time, (and not in a pervy “looking through yer curtains” kind of way) and playing their productions whenever we can, so it’s a joy to finally get them up to sunny Wigan.
Their Swing Break EP was recently released on Circus Records and has been getting muchos DJ support from the likes of Flux Pavilion, Mistajam, Dillon Francis, Jaguar Skills, Dirtyphonics, Lazy Rich, Excision and Far Too Loud. It's also getting played on the regular via BBC Radio 1 / 1xtra.

John B has just released their official remix of his single Connected on his label Beta Recordings. He's been opening / closing his sets with the remix since January, and was the opening tune on his Drum & Bass Arena TV set in February.The remix has already gained DJ support from Doctor P, Datsik, Qemists, Cutline and High Rankin.

The rest of our line up will be infused with a healthy quantity of Residents, Friends, Family and possibly Lovers (going b2b can stir the loins)!
Kicking off proceedings will be the many Bens known as TENMEN, playing a fine selection of electro with a hint of dubstep-based naughtiness. ODDFELLOW, PRAWN, HEAPY and CIRCLE K will be playing “a succession of repetitive beats.” And to finish off, we'll be assaulting your collective face with a local DnB all-star line up inc MEECHA, ISORED and WIPEOUT & SPHEREIX.
