Futurepast zine 4: Justice, Burlish, Deadwood

Post by 247 » Wed Dec 12, 2012 11:39 am

Hello music loverz,

Futurepast zine 4 is here (nearly)! I’m in the process of putting it together and should hopefully be sorted by the start of next week ready to send out. I’d like to send it so you can get it before Christmas. So if you’d like a copy then drop me an email with your name and address ( futurepastzine*at*gmail.com ) or drop me a PM.

Futurepast 4 contains interviews with:

- Justice (Modern Urban Jazz), for those that don’t know he’s been releasing loads of excellent music since the rave days and is still making really excellent music, find out what’s happening now and in 2013
- Burlish is a Dj based in the Midlands, he promotes a night called Movement and another night called Heard Not Scene. Both of his nights are pretty unique for the Midlands, something different. There is a movement night coming up on the 23rd December so if anyone is around Birmingham, be sure to check it out
- Deadwood is a music maker I came across through twittering about fanzines and exchanging music, he makes a wide variety of music: folk, noise, field recordings and ‘experimental’ type stuff. His music is really interesting and he’s got a few live shows coming up too

Thanks to anyone that has been supporting the zine!

I’d just like to add that the reason for the zine is because I love listening to different kinds of music and I like discovering and researching it – be it old or new. I only mention music or do interviews with people that make music (or do something for music) I respect. I’ve got a lot of respect for the people interviewed in Futurepast and I just want to share that with anyone that’s interested.

Peace

Easy,

I haven't come across that site before so will definitely look into it, thanks for mentioning it. It would definitely be nice to have previous issues on there so people can go and check them out if they want.

Cheers! Still aiming to get it done this week, did the front cover a couple of days ago and it looks cool!

Peace!
