thats one groovy-ass sample at 1.00 ! Lovin it. The intro before it mightve been abit too long/boring, found myself skipping thru it.
The drop is alright. Seems like u upped the attack too much on that bassline. Also the notation wasn't so on point for me (maybe coz of the pitchbending).

The drums couldve been more soulful. But good stuff!

This is good if it is truly your first attempt at making a song on a computer. Though that snare sounds like it's underwater, maybe layer a clap behind it in order to get some high end?
Melodic deepness from my mind.

Thats not your first tune, its just the first one on this board. That said, i dont really care about that.
I like most of it, you just need to lift your snare a little cause it sounds like its permanently lowpassed a bit. Work on that and the mix in general a little, and its pretty much finished, or quite close.

thanks for the replies!
no its not my first attempt at making a tune.. what i meant was that it is my first tune to post here :) i could have been more specific on that part.. my bad.
yup ive also realized i need to shorten the intro. can you define more "soulful"?
yea i lowpassed the snare a bit too much. i can hear that now and will work on it. I just wanted it to be more kind of subtle.
i did layer a clap but its not that noticeable to give a subtle feel.. but i guess its too subtle o:
Im fairly new to the dubstep genre though.. so im just here to learn! thanks again

Give it your own spin. Sticking to 'the rules' of dubstep usually makes for boring tunes, but thats just my opinion. You are quite close to a nice track, its all about the snare and some general mixdown improvements from here imo. I did not comment on the intro but i suppose you could make it a little more complex to grab some attention.

Intro is maybe twice as long as it needs to be, but the vibe and presentation on this piece are really nice. Impressive stuff :)

Got so much groove to it. I love it.
Can't really add to anything anyone else has put really.
Very near to a finished track though I'd say.
