i dont get this whole 120-140 thing in the awards mannn, i know it's supposed to be reserved for swamp shit, house, technobassstyle etc but i dont get it man why not put "best non-140" or summin

I guess it probably has to still be somewhat related to dubstep? Non-140 could imply dnb or whatever, or go into deep house territory etc. It is the dubstepforum awards after all...

yeah but looking at the thread, some people are putting Kahn and Biome or something as best 120-140
in fact that makes more sense, to put best dubstep producers in the 120-140 bracket and the all techousework shit in the other category
or do we just assume everyone sees best 120-140 and go "ah yes, swamp"

But stuff like Angeles by Kahn could well be grouped in with the 'uk bass' stuff. In fact it is that stuff. Makes more sense seeing him there than Biome. The interesting thing will be seeing how people place Oneman. A lot of people, myself included, have put him as best DJ rather than best 120-140 DJ. He does still regularly play dubstep/grime in his sets so seems more valid to put him there than contempories like Jackmaster/Ben UFO.
