Newb Ableton Question

Post by FlareDub » Sun Dec 16, 2012 1:13 am

Hey guys,

I'm brand new to Ableton Live 8, so I have a reaaallly newbie question for you guys. In the session view, there's an "Audio" column and a "MIDI" column. I dragged "Strings-Baroque" under the MIDI column, and the column's name changed to "Strings-Baroque." I made a little tune with that, then I dragged it into my arrangement view. Once it was in there, though, I couldn't hear it anymore. I played it, and I could see the little slider bar thing going over the notes, but I couldn't hear them. Then, when I went back to my session view, I could hear it again.

Why can't I hear it in arrangement view, and how can I fix this?

Thanks!

On the real though. There's a button that lights up pink at the top when youre playin in session view. before you do that, press stop all clips. Then press the pink button to Unpink it. Play in arrangement view.

I suggest you look through the Ableton Manual as well. You wont have problems like this if you do.

Oh fvck. I just checked, its red not pink. And yeah. Google and youtube and ableton manual would have answers to all your trivial questions
