if someones gonna come into my house with the intention of attacking me, i'd firstly question their motives cos i dunno why someone would do that in my house of all houses. then i dunno, maybe my existence is too sheltered to clearly consider these things.

Dude that was trying to break into my place had a filthy twelve inch knife and in my opinion was high on pcp. The gulf between everyday rationality and life and death survival thinking is huge. Is huge for me at least. If someone feels that they can chart a more peaceful path through the violent insanity I encountered, my hat is off to you, I did the best I could.

i really have no idea if i'd shoot someone who was trying to attack me on my own property in the same way that happened to you, it's just so far removed from my current experiences that it'd be pure instinct.

the only way for me to say would be for it to happen, which i'd rather avoid.

i love nothing more then my family, so in that situation if intruder was in my house and armed and being violent then i'd do anything to protect them.
if i had a gun and intruder was threatening me and my fam then i would shoot. if he was crazy out of control and i had to shoot to kill, i wouldn't think twice.
don't get me wrong i may be weird but i really really hate the thought of stabbing some1 and would hate to have to do it. if all i had was a knife then i would stab him withought a shadow of a doubt. after all there is no way i'd let a maniac with a knife possibly kill my family by not stabbing/shooting him in the hope he may leave or even take wat he wants then leaves with no harm. not worth the risk when the price is that high.
