You buy it, then they send you a serial number - it's download only. I ordered it on Friday and only got the serial number sent on Sunday - bit slow but I guess they've had a few orders than usual to go through.
Also just picked up the PowerPack for $99

For future reference you should check prices at wavesuniverse.com and audiodeluxe.com, they sell waves plugins too and often at a lower price

Yeah, ended up figuring it out. It was a little weird (and I don't want to get started on getting it to show up in ableton).
I was thinking of getting the PowerPack... I'm on the fence because I just spent $200 on VCC/VTM from Stale Digital.... aaarg, I don't have the money, and can do without, but its hard to pass up a deal..

^ PowerPack was actually slightly cheaper on wavesuniverse.com yesterday bur it's back up to $230 on there now - still only $99 on Wave's website at the moment. Tried it last night and I was very impressed having never used any Waves plugins before, well happy with it.

You need a serial and to register it with a waves account. It's not like you can just share the *.dll file.

this
anyone can download the plugin from the waves site, but it won't work without the an active license key that's linked to your waves.com account

Lot of people on KVR seem to be unhappy about this not working and being a PITA to install, your experiences?

Yea i have to say i dont like the idea of having another 'NI service center' type app on my pc just for this thing. Besides i feel im getting past the stage of one-button solutions tihi.

Yeah it was pretty slow, but whatever. I ended up getting the AudioTrack on monday as well, so I didn't mind going through the process.
Its kind of annoying to install but the main issue i had was with the waves server being down often over the weekend. It took a while after I got a registration key for me to be able to register the plugin online.

^ Lol, there is only one damn knob!!
Actually finally got a chance to install this today. It does only one thing, but it does it pretty good. There seems to a couple of different processes going on with a combination of light compression and limiting.
My test subject were some dodgy sounding drums from the '60's that were all panned weird with most of the transients in the left channel. I put a mono Oneknob Louder on the track and it evened out the drums and tightened them up. It did make them sound better.
Not too bad. This is my first Waves product. I should have maybe jumped on that channel strip but I slacked on it, besides I was broke.

Have you tried it as a drum/bass submix bus "glue" compressor?
