One for the Emu's Patchmix DSP users

Post by daft cunt » Thu Aug 09, 2007 9:08 am

On the picture below, you see 3 different balance settings :
1 - pan = center => sound's coming out of both speakers + no signal for I/O Card in L
2 - pan = R => no sound + no signal for both I/O Card in
3 - pan = L => sound's louder than 1 + no signal for I/O Card in L

My cables are supposed to be stereo. What's doing this?

hmm patchmix is a veritable uber coont, adn im not sure wuite what youre trying to do but,......

First, on my 0404 the L and R inputs are obviously mono so you cant just plug one stereo cable into one input and get both channels. But im sure youre not doing that, thats duh.

also make sure the left i/o card in is panned to the left and the right i/o card panned to the right. in the piccie it looks like youve left the pan pots centered. thats fine if youre inputting a mono signal, but not for stereo... :)

the asio out strip should afaik ALWAYS be set like you have it in the first image. sending the left and right channels through one output (i.e. left OR right output) will do some funny schtuff.

:!:
is it?

NO.
