the 32 beats in the 8 bars are split into groups of
5,8,8,11
rather than
8,8,8,8
like in most dubstep tracks.

Like skream said, generally if you pay attention to the first kick you don't get lost. Sounds almost 4x4 to me, but in a weird sense. I do love a weird time signiture though, not too sure about the tune itself. Love the drums, but i am getting sick of the metallic midrange sounds skream is using at the mo, eg this one, moving snares etc.
Any other tunes with non 4/4 time sigs? SecretAgent Gel's remix of In the Air Tonight seems like it is, and i know there is another one in the dubs section that is 5/4, but any of the "big names" taking it outside 4/4?

Not normally in the mid rangey stuff either but this is just really ace

Don't think it's anything to be taken too seriously, its just a freakout lose-your-mind raaaargh kinda tune.
I think it should've been called Fucked Ignition

Nice one, that actually makes a lot of sense. More than I was expecting to be honest, time signitures are generally a bit over my head at the best of times.
I think it could be really quite wicked, but the synth sound does seem a little dry. Like the vocal snippet thing.

Heard this at Dour festival and i rememba thinking, what the fuck is this?! and not really feelin it.
But to be fair thinking about it skream is coming with some next shit right now, and although i dont really like the dry synthiness either, you gotta give it to him staying original at the same time as creating a ridiculous amount of material.

i said "what the fuck" when i heard it.
i had to listen to it 3 times. i just don't expect that level of surprise any more.
so i think it's brilliant.
(potentially)

from the talk of cyclical time signatures i was expecting more, nay, a different madness. snare on 5, its pretty regular... but still skream taking tings further as always, who else would come out with something like that?

Yer, i don't think it's Skream at his best, nor do i think it's a particulary good attempt at trying to stretch dubstep in a progressive way...
but, y'know, it's pretty mental.....
First time i heard it my head turned inside out and back to front for a few minutes.

Hmmm.. I like some elements of it, but the pitch bending is too much.

Skream comes in for some stick on this forum but just when you think he's resting on his laurel's he comes and smacks you round the chops.
