Dubstep at Best of British

Post by nazoreth » Sun Aug 12, 2007 6:00 pm

Huge thank you to all involved, that was one of the best nites I have ever had out, Benga killed it, loads of respect and thanks to Rogue State for sick new tunes.

5am(?), outside watching the sunrise listening to dubstep with a huge zoot - priceless.

Oh yeah i guess the rest of the rooms were okay too lol

Yes was heavy! Mala pon the dex, poax on the mic, sun rising at 5am with a zoot and happy faces! Up there with my fav dubstep moments.

Totally converted a fair few of my pals, they loved it and have even had a couple of text from them asking for tune ID's !! lol
Plus at times the dubstep room was going off! Benga smakked it hard. I reckon alot of people who had never really listened to dubstep before where feeling it.

Hope it continues at BOB nights. good look.

..... Devious D killed it on the old skool jungle room,
when i arrived Phantasy was playing all the dnb classics, great way to start the evening...
yea top night, so many safe heads and the small amount of absoloute cocks starting fights didnt seem to ruin it.

Was great to be back at Bagleys.

The terrace was a touch, decent sound system, bar in close proximity, being able to blaze freely, what more could you want.

Ragga Twins b2b Shabba in the main arena on the other hand

Out to Rhymes and Fleximus jumping on the dub beats, rode it nicely.

Big night!

The terrace was dope, skanking at sunrise is something else. Benga smacked it, Mala smacked it, D1 smacked it. Heard pretty much every tune I would have wanted to hear. Shame about the amount of dickheads in there, I swear someone told me pills are supposed to make you feel happy...whatever anyway!

Big up the usual suspects, saw a few lurkers around!

Glad everyone enjoyed it. My main concern was that we had enough sound and a nice engineer and luckily we were blessed with both.
As for the Mic control, i think we'll have a bit more security in that area next time. Task rightly told me that there was no point wrestling for the mic with an idiot who wanted to fight. Good advice!
Funnily enough all the DnB heads on Arena are going on about what unusually good vibes there was (guess it depends what your used to)
I can't 100% confirm the next event yet but i have a feeling that Dec 15th will be a exciting evening.
The outside factor was brilliant, it was like being at a rave but without the down side (ie waking up in a field)
Special thanks to Mala who paced it from Leeds to make the set.

R8005- Rogue State & Twisted - Logical Regression / Infect - Out Soon
