Re: ***DMZ 8th Birthday***
Its better than that place! Even comes with porta loos for that real grim vibe haha..
I do like it though. Outlook and Numbers was held there and both were sick nights. I will say Security allways seems to be the most strict there even compared to MoS (which is supposedly borderline shoes off!)but once your in the door its like System.

DMZ birthdays and bunning go hand in hand, this is good to hear...magma wrote:dubluke wrote:Out to mags for shotting me his spare, this is going to be ridiculously sick, that car park is deep as fuck to party in![]()

Should be great, I reckon. A few of us were there for the Outlook launch last year... it's a car park so pretty airy and they weren't particularly bothered about people smoking. Watch out for the odd puddle. Perfect.T_! wrote:Standard procedure.. what's the venue saying? Suited to a DMZ sorta vibe?
i wonder what sound they will bring in for it? I'd make an assumpsion at possibly the DIRT bpoys, as they rigged up aload of Void stuff for DMZ when they did the first Culture Clash...and i know they've done sound at that venue a few times
What was soundsystem saying when you guys went to other events?

I invited vivek to dmz on facebook init
Re: ***DMZ 8th Birthday***
They brought in Mungo's and Iration for the Outlook launch. Was brilliant! Each arch is well insulated enough from the next so they don't interfere with each other. It's a good venue, just watch out for the puddles if its rained beforehand.T_! wrote:DMZ birthdays and bunning go hand in hand, this is good to hear...magma wrote:dubluke wrote:Out to mags for shotting me his spare, this is going to be ridiculously sick, that car park is deep as fuck to party in![]()

Never had to deal with that other than the usual glance.chekov wrote:so not worth trying to get in with a fake id?Johnlenham wrote:I will say Security allways seems to be the most strict there even compared to MoS (which is supposedly borderline shoes off!)but once your in the door its like System.
What I have had is a bouncer pat me down all over then decided that my crotch region was overly packed..
So he says
"whats in there?"
I just kind of look at him and say "er well my boxers..?"
"Step over here please"
Pat down again.
"whats in there?! Pointing at my crotch.
Me:"Duuuude what do you think is in there!?"
"show me the inside of your jeans"
So I then have to unzip my jeans and show him.
Guy pulls my boxer waist band out, looks down then says
"all clear, in you go"

Fuck you buddy it was all in my shoes!
We got inside and apparently one girl was told to lift her top and the woman bouncer pulled her bra out to see if anything other than her tits fell out.
Youve been warned!
Re: ***DMZ 8th Birthday***
Yep.. got a pretty serious patdown on Outlook launch night myself. Shoes seemed alright, but be careful folks!
